Ronaldo remains under contract with Al-Nassr through 2027 after extensions, yet February 2026 reports highlighted dissatisfaction, a potential €50 million release clause, and MLS inquiries amid limited Saudi transfer activity. Trader consensus has spread probability across numerous MLS sides because multiple clubs have expressed interest in a high-profile signing that could boost league visibility ahead of or following the 2026 World Cup, with no single team securing clear advantage in negotiations or fit. Sporting CP sits alongside due to Ronaldo’s academy roots and prior public comments on a possible return, while Real Madrid and other European options trade far lower given his age, salary expectations, and stated preference against a high-pressure comeback. The fragmented market reflects the absence of confirmed talks or a defined timeline for any departure.
