Ronaldo’s recent comments following his wedding and the 2026 World Cup have intensified uncertainty around his future, with the 41-year-old stating the current Saudi Pro League season is likely his last before his Al-Nassr contract expires in June 2027. Traders view a move as improbable given his pursuit of 1,000 career goals and preference for family time, yet MLS sides such as the Columbus Crew, San Jose Earthquakes, and Real Salt Lake edge the field on speculation of a short-term, high-profile stint similar to Messi’s path. European options like Sporting CP benefit from sentimental ties to his academy roots, while Real Madrid draws on legacy connections, though both face steep barriers from age, salary demands, and roster fit. The broad distribution underscores the wisdom of crowds assigning low probability to any single destination amid dominant retirement narratives.
