This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Recent diplomatic activity centers on deepening existing ties rather than securing new state recognitions of Israel. On September 16, 2026, Israel and Morocco agreed to elevate relations to full embassies and exchange ambassadors, building on their 2020 normalization under the Abraham Accords. Colombia recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights in August 2026, while Israel extended recognition to Somaliland in late 2025. As of February 2026, 169 UN member states recognize Israel, leaving roughly two dozen non-recognizers, primarily certain Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation members plus Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea. Trader consensus prices low probabilities for additional formal recognitions by year-end, reflecting the absence of scheduled breakthroughs, stalled normalization tracks, and procedural requirements for official announcements over mere statements of intent.
