FIFA and Global Citizen announced on May 14 that Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline the first Super Bowl-style halftime show at the 2026 World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The lineup, unveiled by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, pairs the Queen of Pop, the Colombian superstar who also headlined the June 11 opening ceremony in Mexico City with Burna Boy for the official anthem “Dai Dai,” and the K-pop group fresh off military service hiatus. This official confirmation has anchored trader consensus around these three acts for the July event, while earlier speculation lists and multi-country opening performances by artists such as Maná, J Balvin, and Katy Perry provide context on FIFA’s broad entertainment approach without altering the final show’s designated headliners.
