**Official pre-order pricing for Grand Theft Auto VI has anchored trader sentiment at 98% against the game costing $100 or more.** Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive set the standard edition at $79.99–$80, with the Ultimate Edition listed at $99.99, aligning with recent AAA trends that include a modest $10 increase over the prior $70 norm rather than the $100+ rumors that circulated earlier. Pre-orders opened in mid-2026 with these tiers publicly confirmed across platforms, including physical code-in-box options, giving the market a clear, verifiable benchmark. While premium bundles and collector’s editions can exceed $100, the market focuses on the core game price point. A realistic upset would require an unannounced last-minute hike or redefinition of “base cost” before the November 19, 2026 launch, scenarios viewed as highly improbable given the locked pre-order structure and Take-Two’s public defense of the pricing.
