Recent statements from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, combined with consistent leaks and retailer data, have solidified trader confidence that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch at standard AAA pricing between $69.99 and $79.99. Industry analysts and credible insiders point to this range as aligned with current market norms for major console releases, while $100 rumors have repeatedly failed to materialize with verifiable evidence and appear tied mainly to premium or collector editions. Preorder windows expected to open in the coming weeks should confirm the exact MSRP, leaving little room for a surprise base price hike. Though Rockstar could theoretically test higher tiers given the title’s cultural dominance, historical patterns for flagship titles and the company’s public guidance make a standard-edition cost exceeding $100 highly improbable.
