Erika Jurinová holds the clearest lead in trader pricing for the October 24, 2026 Žilina Region gubernatorial election, backed by her incumbency since 2017 and a broad coalition of center-right and liberal parties that includes Hnutie Slovensko, Za ľudí, SaS, and Progresívne Slovensko. Her June 2026 announcement emphasized continuity on infrastructure, social services, and regional connectivity, reinforcing perceptions of stability among traders. Igor Choma trails as the main challenger backed by SMER-SD, drawing on his prior candidacy and local executive experience, while Anna Belousovová, Martin Kapitulík, and Adam Lučanský receive support from smaller or independent bases. An early July SANEP poll showed a narrower gap between Jurinová and Choma amid high undecided voters, yet market consensus reflects the incumbent’s structural advantages and coalition consolidation ahead of the single-round vote.
