Yu Hsiou Hsu enters the M25 Taipei semifinal as the clear favorite, holding the No. 245 ranking compared to Masamichi Imamura’s No. 422 while playing on home hard courts. Hsu has dropped just one set across his three tournament wins, including straight-set victories over Wang Kai-I, Kuan-Shou Chen, and Ryuki Matsuda. Imamura, meanwhile, has posted strong recent results with three consecutive wins in Taipei and prior successes on hard, though he trails in the head-to-head after Hsu’s 2024 victory. Hsu’s superior ranking, consistent hard-court record, and local support shape trader consensus around his advancement, while Imamura’s momentum offers realistic upset potential in a best-of-three format.
