The Chicago Cubs visit the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field for a three-game series beginning June 9, with both clubs mired in poor recent form. The Cubs sit at 34-32 in the NL Central after dropping 15 of their last 20 contests, showing offensive and pitching inconsistencies under manager Craig Counsell. The Rockies, at 24-42 and last in the NL West, enter with even greater struggles but gain home-field advantages at the high-altitude venue that typically inflates scoring. Historical trends favor the Cubs overall in the matchup, yet their current road slump and the Rockies’ need for momentum create a competitive dynamic influenced by lineup health, bullpen reliability, and adaptation to Denver conditions.
