Charles Broom enters the ITF M25 Roehampton encounter as the higher-ranked player at approximately ATP 287, bringing greater professional experience on the ITF circuit. He arrives with strong recent form, including straight-sets victories over Nicolas Jadoun and Oscar Brown in the same Roehampton draw. Lui Maxted, a younger competitor with NCAA doubles title credentials, showed resilience by edging Marcus Walters in three sets to reach this stage. Their January 2026 head-to-head on indoor hard courts favored Broom in straight sets. Grass-court conditions typical for Roehampton events may reward Broom’s established baseline consistency and movement, though Maxted’s recent match wins highlight his potential to challenge in extended rallies. No confirmed injuries or withdrawals affect either player.
