Anna Lena Ebster enters the W35 Verbier first-round matchup as the third seed on outdoor clay, carrying a 9-15 singles record in 2026 with limited recent match wins. Ines Delaloye, the Swiss 14th seed and local player, benefits from home-country support and familiarity with the Verbier clay courts, where she has prior ITF experience. Ebster holds a modest ranking edge near 1,194 but has shown inconsistent results on the surface this season, while Delaloye’s recent form includes mixed outcomes in lower-level events with several straight-set wins on clay. The encounter marks an early draw test for both, with no prior head-to-head meetings documented and potential fatigue factors minimal given the tournament start date.
