The Chicago White Sox enter the August 30 matchup at Target Field as AL Central leaders at 72-63 after sweeping the first two games of the series and posting a 7-3 mark over their last 10 contests. Minnesota (64-72) has dropped four straight, including back-to-back losses to Chicago, and sits 8.5 games behind in the division. Jordan Hicks (2-1, 3.83 ERA) takes the mound for the White Sox against Zebby Matthews (8-8, 4.86 ERA) for the Twins. Chicago’s offense has produced strong recent output with multiple power contributors, while Minnesota’s bullpen and overall run prevention have struggled amid the skid. Home/road splits and the season series edge also tilt toward the visitors in trader assessments of implied probabilities.
