Routliffe and Sutjiadi enter this Cincinnati Open women's doubles matchup with strong recent momentum, having captured the Washington DC title on hard courts just weeks earlier and advancing comfortably through their opening round. The New Zealander-Indonesian pair combines Routliffe's elite experience and high doubles ranking with Sutjiadi's consistent results. Aoyama and Liang counter with proven major-tournament pedigree, including a 2026 Roland Garros quarterfinal and grass-court title at 's-Hertogenbosch, though they exited early in Toronto. On outdoor hard courts, the higher-ranked Routliffe/Sutjiadi duo holds a slight edge in current form and head-to-head context, while Aoyama's veteran court craft keeps the contest competitive for the lower-seeded pair.
