Letitia Plummer holds an overwhelming edge in the 2026 Harris County Judge race due to the county’s consistent Democratic voting patterns in recent cycles and her status as the party nominee following a May primary runoff victory over former Houston mayor Annise Parker. Republican nominee Orlando Sanchez, a former county treasurer who won his runoff, trails significantly in trader pricing. A mid-August internal poll released in early September showed Plummer ahead by 16 points among likely voters, with Sanchez viewed favorably by fewer than one in five respondents. Fundraising reports from the summer indicated Sanchez raised modestly more than Plummer in one filing period, yet this has not shifted broader sentiment. The November 3 general election remains the resolution trigger, with no scheduled debates or major external events yet altering the established positioning.
