This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the NWSL for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of NWSL for the 2026 season per the rules of NWSL (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NWSL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 40-45% for the 2026 NWSL runner-up reflects deep league parity and multiple viable contenders midway through the regular season. Gotham FC leads the standings with 40 points from 19 matches, followed closely by Washington Spirit and Utah Royals, yet recent results show fluctuating form across the table, including Seattle Reign FC's mixed outcomes in late-July and early-August fixtures. Factors such as roster depth, injury recoveries, international call-ups, and the shift to playoff format keep outcomes fluid, with teams like Angel City FC, San Diego Wave FC, and Portland Thorns FC maintaining competitive records and goal differentials that sustain market uncertainty. This even distribution captures traders' recognition that small momentum shifts or key match results can rapidly alter paths to the championship final.
