This market will resolve according to the listed song which holds the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the greatest number of weeks in the summer of 2026. For the purposes of this market, only Billboard Hot 100 charts with date labels for weeks in June, July, and August of 2026 will be considered. If more than one song is tied for greatest number of weeks in the No. 1 spot, this market will resolve in favor of the song whose title comes first in alphabetical order. Weeks in the No. 1 spot need not be consecutive. If the resolution source for this market becomes permanently unavailable, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the official Billboard Hot 100 charts, published on the Billboard website (https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/).The 2026 Song of the Summer market reflects broad trader uncertainty, with no single track establishing clear frontrunner status amid a crowded field of contenders priced near 50% implied probability. Early summer chart trajectories, streaming velocity on platforms like Spotify, and radio airplay will likely determine momentum, as historical patterns show songs gaining traction through viral moments or strong promotional pushes rather than pre-season hype alone. Differentiating factors include release timing, genre appeal, and crossover potential, with recent drops from artists like Ariana Grande and Zara Larsson adding fresh competition. Key catalysts ahead include weekly Billboard updates and festival performances that could shift sentiment before Labor Day resolution.
