**Borussia Dortmund lead trader consensus for 2026-27 Bundesliga runner-up at 50% implied probability, reflecting their strong early-season form and pre-season positioning as Bayern Munich’s clearest challenger.** After four matchdays, Dortmund sit atop the table with a perfect 4-0-0 record and a 1-0 win at VfB Stuttgart featuring a late Maximilian Beier goal, marking their best start in a decade under Niko Kovač. Bayern, heavy title favorites after retaining the crown in 2025-26, trail on 10 points. Newly promoted SV Elversberg’s attacking displays and 7 points keep them in the mix alongside Hoffenheim, while simulations consistently project Dortmund for second place behind the champions. This setup underscores the market’s view of Dortmund as the most credible non-Bayern contender amid early results and squad continuity.
