The 2026-27 NB I runner-up market remains tightly contested because Ferencvárosi TC enters as the consensus title favorite following Győri ETO FC’s 2025-26 championship, leaving a broad group of clubs with realistic paths to second place. Early-season form shows Újpest FC and Puskás Akadémia FC atop the table after opening fixtures, while Paksi SE, Debreceni VSC, and Budapesti Vasas carry momentum from strong prior campaigns and solid squad depth. Historical patterns of mid-table volatility, combined with roster reinforcements at Győri ETO and ongoing European ambitions at multiple sides, sustain broad trader consensus around even implied probabilities for the leading contenders. No single club has pulled clear in the battle for the second spot.
