This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Arizona. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Arizona, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Arizona's 2026 gubernatorial contest between Democratic incumbent Katie Hobbs and Republican nominee Andy Biggs remains closely matched in early polling, with voter mobilization efforts by both parties and independent groups likely determining total ballots cast in the November general election. The July primary produced notably low participation, including a decade-low 26% in Maricopa County, partly tied to the shifted earlier date and limited high-profile races, which may signal subdued baseline enthusiasm heading into the midterm cycle. Historical patterns show midterm turnout substantially below presidential years, yet Arizona's growing registered voter base, expanded early and mail voting access, and battleground dynamics around issues such as border security and the economy could drive higher participation. Absent major late-breaking events or exceptional get-out-the-vote surges, these offsetting factors sustain tight market pricing across turnout ranges.
