The Delta, BC mayoral race on October 17, 2026, features incumbent George Harvie of Achieving for Delta facing a direct challenge from former council ally Dylan Kruger, now running under the One Delta banner after a 2024 council split over powers and expenses. This internal division, combined with Harvie's recent pledges on Metro Vancouver Regional District reforms and withdrawal from select regional services, has kept trader consensus narrow, with Harvie at 40.5% and Kruger at 21.5% amid limited volume on other candidates. Local issues such as council dynamics, candidate slates, and voter turnout in a competitive municipal contest sustain the balance. Late-campaign developments including candidate debates, endorsements, or shifts in regional policy positions could separate the leaders by clarifying voter priorities before advance voting opens.
