The Line of Control has seen minimal violations since, yet bilateral ties stay frozen amid India's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, ongoing water-sharing disputes, and mutual accusations over cross-border militancy. Recent defense reports and official statements continue to reference the 2025 operations, while assessments from groups like the Council on Foreign Relations highlight a moderate risk of renewed clashes in 2026 triggered by terrorism or escalation along the frontier. Diplomatic channels remain limited, with scheduled events or new incidents capable of shifting trader assessments of strike probabilities.
