MLS and Liga MX teams enter the Leagues Cup 2026 knockout rounds in near parity after Phase One produced four qualifiers from each league, including strong showings from Chicago Fire, Austin FC, Columbus Crew, and Real Salt Lake on the MLS side alongside León, América, Toluca, and Monterrey. Recent group-stage results highlight balanced depth, with MLS benefiting from three straight prior titles yet facing motivated Liga MX sides eager to end that run. Home matches in Mexico, roster health, and stylistic matchups in the quarterfinals will shape advancement, while any late injuries or travel effects could shift implied probabilities for which league claims the September 6 final.
