Several Liga MX sides enter the 2026-27 campaign with comparable defensive profiles that keep the most-clean-sheets market tightly contested. Toluca, Guadalajara, and Club América have each recorded four shutouts through the opening eight or nine matchdays while conceding just 0.75–0.86 goals per game, the league’s lowest rates. Recent defender reinforcements at América, including Santiago Bueno and Santiago Ramos Mingo, and Chivas’ organized back line under Gabriel Milito reinforce expectations of continued solidity. Toluca’s low concession rate and strong home form add further balance. With roughly 25–30 matches still to play across both tournaments and no single team holding a decisive edge in roster depth or schedule, trader consensus reflects a genuine three-way race rather than a clear favorite.
