This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez has established himself as the clear frontrunner for MLB's Outstanding DH award through dominant 2026 regular-season production, including a .322 batting average, 35 home runs, 86-87 RBIs, and a 1.057+ OPS while primarily serving as Houston's designated hitter. These figures lead or rank near the top of MLB in key categories, reflecting strong plate discipline and extra-base power that have fueled AL MVP discussions. Kyle Schwarber trails due to elite power output (35 homers for the Phillies) offset by a lower average and elevated strikeouts, while Shohei Ohtani's strong slash line and run production for the Dodgers position him as a distant third. Trader consensus mirrors Alvarez's sustained statistical edge and primary DH role amid the season's second half.
