The 2026 Big 12 rushing touchdowns race remains tightly contested early in the season because multiple returning and transfer running backs bring proven scoring production across competitive offenses. Preseason standouts such as LJ Martin (BYU), Cameron Dickey and J’Koby Williams (Texas Tech), Cam Cook (West Virginia), Caleb Hawkins (Oklahoma State), and Wayshawn Parker (Utah) headline a deep group, while early performers like Makhi Hughes (Houston) have already notched multiple scores. Backfield committees, varying team rushing volumes, and only two games of data for most squads have prevented any single player from separating, keeping implied probabilities clustered as traders weigh workload distribution and schedule strength through the remainder of the regular season.
