This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 Sun Belt Football Championship Game, determining the champion of the Sun Belt Conference for the 2026 college football season, currently scheduled for December 4, 2026. If this championship is postponed after December 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple teams are declared co-champions, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Sun Belt Conference (https://sunbelt.org); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The Sun Belt football title race enters the 2026 season with notable parity, as preseason coaches polls place James Madison atop the East Division and Troy atop the West, yet multiple programs sit within striking distance. James Madison returns as the perceived frontrunner after strong recent performance, while Old Dominion and Marshall feature experienced rosters and favorable schedules that support their close positioning in trader consensus. Troy, Louisiana, and Arkansas State anchor the West with solid returning production, but depth across the league—highlighted by competitive head-to-head matchups and limited separation in projected win totals—keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered among the top half-dozen contenders. Roster continuity, early non-conference results, and division race developments will likely drive further market movement as the regular season unfolds.
