**Texas and Georgia remain the leading contenders to reach the 2026 SEC Championship Game as the top two teams by conference winning percentage, with Ole Miss and Alabama close behind after three weeks.** All four programs sit at 3-0 overall, though conference play is just beginning for most. Preseason media polls heavily favored Georgia and Texas, and recent results have reinforced that positioning—Ole Miss climbed to No. 4 in the AP poll after its 32-24 win over LSU, while Georgia, Texas, and Alabama continued dominant nonconference performances. The nine-game SEC slate features brutal upcoming matchups, including several ranked clashes that will quickly separate the field. Late-season injuries, quarterback play, and head-to-head results among the top group will likely decide which two teams advance to Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 5.
