Netanyahu's ongoing corruption trial in Israel's Jerusalem District Court has advanced slowly since indictments in 2020, with the prime minister completing 98 days of testimony in June 2026. Judges have reiterated concerns over proving the bribery count in Case 4000 and suggested prosecutors consider dropping it, while the defense continues presenting witnesses and has moved to call former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit. Hearings face repeated delays from security duties and coalition matters, with a possible verdict timeline extending into 2028 ahead of a presiding judge's retirement. These procedural hurdles and judicial signals on the core charges align with trader expectations that conviction remains unlikely before resolution.
