This market will resolve according to the first individual who is officially announced as the successor to Jamie Dimon as CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co. by December 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET. An announcement of a successor will be sufficient for a "Yes" resolution regardless of whether the announced replacement actually becomes the next CEO of JPMorgan Chase. Interim CEOs will not qualify. If no successor is announced by December 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source will be public statements from JPMorgan Chase & Co, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. With no clear frontrunner emerging in JPMorgan's CEO succession market, trader sentiment reflects Jamie Dimon's open-ended timeline and the even internal positioning of contenders like Doug Petno and Marianne Lake. Recent investor-day presentations and Dimon's emphasis on leadership qualities such as coaching ability and "heart and soul" over raw intellect have kept momentum balanced among the consumer, corporate, and investment banking heads. Historical precedent favors internal promotions at the firm, yet the lack of a firm retirement date or standout precursor signals sustains the deadlock. Upcoming board updates or executive shifts could tilt the field.
