This market will resolve according to the listed country/region of the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship (Masters Division) champion. For the purposes of this market, "Europe" refers to any country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone. If the champion's listed country is not the United States, Japan, or a country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone, this market will resolve to "Other". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the country/region of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship is cancelled, postponed after September 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from The Pokémon Company International; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Japan's commanding position in the Pokémon VGC 2026 Masters World Champion region market stems from the country's deep competitive ecosystem and dominant showings at the San Francisco event. A large, experienced player base consistently produces top qualifiers through intense domestic circuits, fostering superior team construction, adaptation to Regulation M-B, and high-stakes execution. This translated directly into results, with Japanese competitors claiming the top two Masters placements and sweeping multiple divisions in an all-Japan final. Trader consensus reflects this structural advantage alongside recent form. Scenarios that could still shift outcomes include late qualification surprises from Europe or the Americas, unexpected meta shifts favoring non-Japanese rosters, or individual upsets in bracket play, though the depth of Japan's field makes such reversals uncommon.
