**Milan Majerský**, the incumbent Prešov Region governor and KDH leader, holds dominant trader consensus at 79.5% due to his established record managing regional infrastructure, education, and transport projects across two prior terms. He secured broad coalition backing from parties including SaS, Hnutie Slovensko, Za ľudí, and Konzervatívci - Kresťanská únia ahead of the October 24, 2026, combined regional and municipal elections. Challengers such as Milan Mazurek (Republika) at 10.5%, Judita Laššáková (Smer-SD) at 7.0%, Monika Lešková (SNS) at 5.1%, and independent Samuel Migaľ at 4.3% trail amid a fragmented field and limited unified opposition. Recent developments include Majerský’s August 2026 re-election announcement highlighting ongoing road and bridge initiatives, alongside scattered candidate filings through mid-2026 that have not shifted the incumbency advantage reflected in current market pricing.
