This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records 5,000 or more passing yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player recorded 5,000 or more passing yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The rarity of 5,000-yard passing seasons underpins trader consensus favoring no such performance in 2026, with only nine quarterbacks achieving it historically and none since Patrick Mahomes in 2022. Recent 17-game seasons have produced league leaders in the 4,600–4,900 range, including Matthew Stafford’s 4,707 yards in 2025 and Joe Burrow’s 4,918 in 2024, reflecting balanced offenses, improved defenses, and run-first approaches that limit volume. Early 2026 projections place top passers like Jared Goff, Dak Prescott, and Burrow around 4,200–4,500 yards, requiring sustained 290-plus yards per game amid typical injury risks and schedule difficulty. While high-attempt offenses and elite weapons could push outliers higher, the combination of historical scarcity and modest recent benchmarks supports the slight lean toward no player clearing the threshold.
