The Minnesota Vikings captured an early edge in the season series with a 9-3 defensive masterclass over the Chicago Bears in Week 2 at Soldier Field, holding Chicago to just 3 points after the Bears had exploded for 59 the prior week. Brian Flores’ unit limited Caleb Williams and the Bears’ ground attack while Carson Wentz started in place of the concussed Kyler Murray. Williams exited late with a hamstring injury, raising questions about Chicago’s quarterback situation heading into their matchup with the Eagles. The Vikings improved to 2-0 and sit atop the NFC North, giving them a strong position to claim the series in the return game and explaining the current trader consensus favoring Minnesota while leaving room for a potential 1-1 split.
