This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 2,105 rushing yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season rushing yards record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season rushing yards record is 2,105, set by Eric Dickerson in 1984. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 2,105 rushing yards for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 2,105 rushing yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 50% implied probability reflects a closely balanced market shaped by the 17-game schedule offering more carries than the 16-game era when Eric Dickerson set the 2,105-yard mark, offset by widespread backfield committees, conservative workload management, and stronger defensive schemes that have kept recent peaks well below record pace. Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson, and Jahmyr Gibbs lead 2026 projections in the 1,380–1,500-yard range, with even optimistic scenarios rarely exceeding 1,800–1,900 without extraordinary health, efficiency, and volume. A sustained workhorse role behind an elite offensive line, favorable early-season matchups, and minimal injury risk could push one contender over the threshold, while any shift toward pass-first schemes, midseason setbacks, or shared touches would keep totals safely under the historic line.
