This market will resolve to the Short-Stick Defensive Midfielder who wins the 2026 Hard Hat award in the PLL. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by PLL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 PLL season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the PLL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 40-47% for Aidan Maguire, Matt Whitcher, Ryan Terefenko, and Brian Tevlin reflects a deep group of short-stick defensive midfielders delivering consistent defensive work rate and effort in the 2026 PLL season. Maguire, the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Utah Archers, has quickly established himself with high-motor play that aligns with the George Boiardi Hard Hat Award's emphasis on unheralded contributions, while veterans like Terefenko and Whitcher maintain strong form through physical matchups and ground-ball battles. Dylan Hess trails at 26% amid similar league-wide competition for the honor, which historically favors players whose hustle stats and defensive impact stand out without a clear frontrunner emerging yet. This bunched market captures the wisdom of crowds pricing in the award's subjective focus on reliability over headline production.
