The 2026-27 Roshn Saudi League season is in its opening weeks, with Abha, Al-Faisaly, and Al-Fateh occupying the bottom three spots after four matchdays amid heavy defeats and minimal points. Newly promoted sides Abha and Al-Faisaly face the typical step-up in competition intensity and fixture difficulty against star-laden clubs like Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, while Al-Diriyah has shown slightly better early results under new leadership. Limited squad depth and recruitment challenges for several mid-table sides, including Al-Fayha and Al-Riyadh, compound risks in a league where financial gaps drive results. With over 30 rounds remaining, early form, injury management, and the September transfer window deadline will shape the relegation picture before historical patterns of promoted-team survival or mid-table collapses fully emerge.
