This market will resolve to "Yes" if the named team defense/special teams (D/ST) unit finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season (Weeks 1 through 18) ranked among the top 12 D/ST units by total fantasy points under standard PPR (points-per-reception) scoring per the default scoring of ESPN Fantasy Sports. Otherwise, that market will resolve to "No". Only regular-season games count; postseason (playoff) games are excluded. If two or more D/ST units are tied such that more than 12 would qualify for the top 12, the tie will be broken by higher fantasy points per game average for the 2026 NFL regular season, and if a tie still persists, by team name in alphabetical order, so that exactly 12 D/ST units are classified as top 12. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the rankings cannot be determined within this timeframe, all markets in this event will resolve to "No". The resolution source will be official season-total statistics as reported by ESPN Fantasy Sports (https://www.espn.com/fantasy/).Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, and Seattle Seahawks defenses lead early expert consensus for 2026 fantasy D/ST scoring due to projected sack volume, turnover creation, and favorable early schedules that boost opportunities for points from interceptions, fumble recoveries, and defensive touchdowns. Preseason evaluations highlight strong front sevens and secondary depth across these units, with the Texans and Broncos frequently projected atop rankings for their balanced personnel and matchup advantages in Weeks 1-2. Roster stability, coaching schemes emphasizing aggressive pass rush, and historical production factor into trader positioning, while schedule strength beyond the opener and potential injury impacts on key defensive linemen or cornerbacks remain key variables that could shift outcomes as training camp concludes and the regular season nears.
