This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from West Virginia. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from West Virginia, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Recent developments in the 2026 West Virginia U.S. Senate race, including Shelley Moore Capito's primary victory and the Democratic nomination of Rachel Fetty Anderson, have not yet generated significant statewide mobilization, contributing to trader uncertainty over general election participation on November 3. With roughly 1.2 million registered voters and West Virginia's history of low midterm turnout around 35 percent, markets reflect tight clustering across 400K-650K vote ranges as participants weigh factors like limited competitiveness in the safe Republican seat, early voting trends from the May primary showing modest increases, and potential influences from national conditions or local get-out-the-vote efforts. The close pricing among leading outcomes underscores the absence of dominant catalysts that could clearly shift participation levels, leaving room for adjustments based on registration updates, campaign intensity through fall, or external events within the resolution window.
