Ronaldo's €50 million release clause, exercisable in summer 2026, combined with earlier transfer-market frustrations at Al-Nassr, has sustained low-level speculation about a move despite his public affirmations of satisfaction and a contract through 2027. MLS clubs top the implied probabilities because of commercial draw, North American lifestyle factors, and precedent for high-profile signings, with San Jose, Colorado, and Montréal edging others on roster fit and roster-building timelines. Sporting CP sits nearly tied at the front due to Ronaldo's boyhood ties and family sentiment, while Real Madrid remains a distant long shot absent any confirmed interest. The wide dispersion reflects absent concrete developments since the February reports and post-World Cup commentary from MLS leadership.
