This market will resolve to "Yes" if Valve officially implements a shootout-based overtime format for Premier mode in Counter-Strike 2 on or before December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A qualifying implementation is an official Valve update that adds, to Premier mode, a tie-breaking format in which a 15:15 tie is resolved through a series of 1v1 shootout arenas, as documented in Valve's official patch notes or update announcements. The implemented format must substantially match the concept of players facing off in 1v1 arenas with the match decided by winning a majority of those arenas. Minor differences in the exact number of arenas, the matchmaking of players within them, or the win threshold will not prevent a "Yes" resolution, provided a 1v1 shootout tie-breaker is officially added to Premier. A proposal, teaser, survey, or statement of intent that is not accompanied by the format actually going live in Premier will not count. Unofficial modifications, third-party or tournament-specific rule sets, community server configurations, and datamined or unreleased changes that are not part of a published official update will not count. The primary resolution source will be Valve's official Counter-Strike 2 patch notes and update announcements, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
