This market will resolve "Yes" if Lee Sang-hyeok, known professionally as "Faker," the League of Legends player for T1, holds the office of President of the Republic of South Korea at any point on or before December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM KST. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No." For the purposes of this market, "become president" means being sworn in and officially assuming the office of President of South Korea, as recognized by the government of the Republic of Korea. Being elected, nominated, or named acting president in a caretaker capacity does not by itself count unless he formally assumes the office. The resolution source for this market will be official announcements from the government of the Republic of Korea and a consensus of credible reporting.Faker's long-standing roster commitment with T1 in the League of Legends esports circuit, including recent international tournament appearances and patch adaptations, keeps him firmly focused on competitive play rather than any political bracket. South Korean election eligibility rules, akin to strict age and experience thresholds in professional leagues, render a 30-year-old athlete ineligible for the presidency without major structural changes. Traders reflect this consensus through the 99.5% implied probability on "No," as no official announcements, roster moves, or public statements signal a pivot. Realistic scenarios that could still shift odds include an unprecedented eligibility adjustment or abrupt esports retirement, though both remain distant given his current form and schedule.
