Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick's recent comments at an industry event have solidified trader consensus against a $100+ launch price for GTA 6's standard edition, emphasizing that the blockbuster will feel "very reasonable" and far below its development value—aligning with the $70 AAA standard seen in titles like God of War Ragnarök and Spider-Man 2. Persistent rumors of premium pricing have been dismissed by insiders, including a former Rockstar developer confirming $70 expectations, while GTA 5 launched at $60 over a decade ago amid less inflation. With release tracking to November 2026 and no preorder pricing signals yet, this 91% "No" reflects skin-in-the-game certainty rooted in publisher precedent; an upset would require a radical shift like mandatory deluxe bundles or economic shocks, but historical patterns make that improbable.
