Javokhir Sindarov leads trader consensus in the 2026 World Chess Championship market following his record-breaking victory in the FIDE Candidates Tournament, where the 20-year-old Uzbek grandmaster finished unbeaten on 10/14 and earned the challenger spot against defending champion Gukesh Dommaraju. Sindarov has climbed into the top five on the live FIDE ratings list after adding over 30 points, maintaining a long unbeaten streak in classical chess and showing strong recent results in events like the Grand Chess Tour. Gukesh, despite holding the title, has posted inconsistent performances in 2026 tournaments including multiple losses in Prague and Menorca, prompting questions about current form ahead of their best-of-14 classical match later this year. These developments have shaped the implied probabilities reflecting trader assessments of momentum and preparation.
