PSG's projected dominance as six-time defending champions and near-certain title winners has left the 2026-27 Ligue 1 runner-up race unusually open, with trader consensus clustering multiple sides around 44-45% implied probability. Lens, Lille, Marseille, Monaco, Lyon, and others enter with comparable squad depth, recent top-three finishes, and strong pre-season preparations, while no single challenger has separated itself through transfers or form. This parity in the chasing pack—shaped by financial constraints across the league and the absence of a clear second-best side—keeps probabilities tightly bunched ahead of the August 21 kickoff.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 1 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
