Mercedes' strong early-season form and intra-team rivalry between teammates George Russell and Kimi Antonelli shape trader sentiment for pole at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Russell holds the edge in implied probability thanks to his proven qualifying pace on this high-speed street layout, where he converted pole to victory last year, combined with Mercedes' consistent front-row pace in recent grands prix. Antonelli's three straight poles and championship lead keep him close behind, though the 19-year-old faces added pressure adapting to Montreal's walls and variable grip. Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri remain competitive threats on long runs, while lower odds for Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton reflect Ferrari and Mercedes' mixed sector times in practice. The wisdom of crowds prices this as a tight qualifying battle driven by tire management and sector-three precision.

If the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix is canceled or rescheduled to a date after May 30, 2026, this market will resolve to “Other.”
This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially recognized by Formula 1 as having set the fastest time during the qualifying session for the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix. The market will be settled based on the FIA's official qualifying results, regardless of any subsequent penalties, disqualifications, or changes to the starting grid.
For example, if a driver sets the fastest qualifying time but later receives a grid penalty or is moved down the starting order, the market will still resolve to “Yes” for that driver.
The resolution source will be the official Formula 1 website and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
