The Odyssey holds the strongest early edge in the Best Original Score market at 41% implied probability, driven by Ludwig Göransson’s recently released soundtrack that incorporates authentic Bronze Age instruments, gongs, lyres, and layered synthesizers tailored to Christopher Nolan’s epic. Traders see this as building on Göransson’s prior Oscar wins and his history with Nolan, positioning the film as a likely awards heavyweight with strong precursor potential. Project Hail Mary (24%) and Dune: Part Three (17%) follow as credible threats through their respective sci-fi scale and Hans Zimmer’s established franchise momentum, while longshots like Disclosure Day (John Williams) and Mandalorian and Grogu remain speculative until wider reviews and guild signals emerge. With 2026 releases still unfolding and voting far off, sentiment hinges on how these scores resonate amid shifting critical narratives and box-office performance.
