Musk's January 2026 public announcement that he would seek full custody of his young son with Ashley St. Clair—citing her apology to the transgender community and implied concerns over potential transition—sparked the Polymarket. Traders price "No" at 91.3% because family courts apply a high bar for removing primary custody from a mother, especially with an infant, and routinely prioritize the child's stability over parental disputes. St. Clair has pursued her own sole-custody filings, while Musk manages numerous other children and high-profile commitments. Realistic shifts could occur if verified evidence of neglect or endangerment surfaces in proceedings, or if new court rulings favor the filing parent, though such outcomes remain uncommon without extraordinary developments.
