Valve added the reworked Cache to CS2 Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes in the April 28-29, 2026 update, fulfilling long-standing community demand after its 2019 removal from the active duty pool. However, it remains absent from Premier matchmaking and the professional map pool as of mid-June. Valve has historically aligned major map integrations with seasonal resets or post-major cycles, with recent precedents like Train taking roughly two months to reach Premier status. With the June 30 resolution deadline approaching and no confirmed timeline for Cache's pro-pool entry, trader consensus assigns low implied probability to an imminent addition, reflecting the developer's deliberate rotation pace and lack of recent patch notes signaling further changes.
