Germany enters Group E as the clear frontrunner due to its status as four-time World Cup champions, deep squad depth featuring Bayern Munich core players like Kimmich, Musiala, and Wirtz, and ongoing final preparations under Julian Nagelsmann at its Winston-Salem base camp. Recent squad adjustments, including Manuel Neuer’s return from retirement as the presumptive starter and replacements for minor injuries, have reinforced expectations of a strong group-stage showing, with the team’s opening fixture against debutants Curaçao on June 14 viewed as an ideal launch point. Ecuador and Ivory Coast trail as the primary contenders for the second automatic qualification spot, with Ecuador benefiting from a miserly defensive record and second-place finish in CONMEBOL qualifiers, while Ivory Coast draws on its 2023 AFCON title and recent squad announcements. Curaçao’s first World Cup appearance leaves it as a distant outsider with limited realistic path to points. Trader pricing aligns with these established hierarchies ahead of the June 14–25 group matches.
