Mexico enters the 2026 World Cup group stage as co-host with a 2-0 opening win over South Africa and home matches ahead, giving it the clearest path to add goals against the group’s weakest side. South Korea matched Mexico’s early output with a 2-1 comeback victory over Czechia, relying on creative midfield play and counterattacking threat. Both sides sit atop the early goal-scoring table after one match, while Czechia (one goal) and South Africa (zero) trail. The remaining schedule—Czechia vs. South Africa, Mexico vs. South Korea, and final fixtures against the lower-ranked teams—offers multiple teams realistic chances to boost tallies in a group without top-20 sides, keeping the implied probabilities tightly bunched among the frontrunners.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by FIFA World Cup rules. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the team that conceded fewer total goals during the group stage. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the team that is listed first alphabetically.
If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
