Zizou Bergs holds the edge in the Libéma Open first-round matchup on grass against qualifier James McCabe, driven by his ATP ranking near 40, prior final appearance at the event in 2025, and established grass-court results. The 27-year-old Belgian enters with stronger overall form and experience on the fast surface, where serve and return consistency often decide early rounds. McCabe, a 22-year-old Australian ranked around 233, advanced through qualifying with wins over Coleman Wong and local wild card Sander Jong, showing resilience but facing a significant step up in competition. No reported injuries or late withdrawals alter the field, keeping the focus on Bergs’ higher baseline level and McCabe’s need to maintain momentum from recent challenger-level grass matches.
