The tightly bunched probabilities among the leading grandmasters in the 2026 Super Rapid and Blitz Croatia stem from the event’s exceptionally deep field of elite rapid and blitz specialists. Anish Giri’s recent classical win over Alireza Firouzja in the ongoing Super Chess Classic has edged his implied probability slightly ahead at 37 percent, while Nodirbek Abdusattorov sits close behind at 35 percent on the strength of his strong recent form. Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, Gukesh Dommaraju, Vincent Keymer, and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave follow within a few points, reflecting comparable FIDE ratings, proven speed-chess records, and head-to-head results in prior Grand Chess Tour legs. With the July 1–5 Zagreb event still weeks away, traders see limited separation until the rapid and blitz rounds begin and recent momentum becomes clearer.
